Classes

RING ONE 09:00

  • CLASS 1 In-hand or Ridden Condition & Turnout

  • CLASS 2 In-hand Young Stock (4 years & under)

  • CLASS 3 In-hand Coloured Horse/Pony

  • CLASS 4 In-hand Cob/Traditionals

  • CLASS 5 In-hand Mountain & Moorland (need not be registered)

  • CLASS 6 In-hand Veteran (Horses/Ponies 16 years and over)

  • CLASS 7 In-hand ROR, Riding Horse, Hack

Championship for competitors places 1st & 2nd in Classes 1 to 7

Not before 12:30

  • CLASS 8 Ridden Coloured Horse/Pony

  • CLASS 9 Ridden Veteran (Horses/Ponies 16 years and over)

  • CLASS 10 Ridden Mountain & Moorland

  • CLASS 11 Ridden Hunter/Cob/Traditional (to be split if enough entries)

  • CLASS 12 Riding Club Horse / Pony Club Pony (optional small jump)

  • CLASS 13 Ridden ROR, Riding Horse, Hack

  • CLASS 14 Ridden Family Horse/Pony

Following the Class 15-20 Championship, Ring Two will be available to warm up for ridden classes.

RING TWO 09:00

  • CLASS 15 In-hand Child Handler (16 years and under)

  • CLASS 16 Ridden or In-hand Prettiest Mare

  • CLASS 17 Ridden or In-Hand Handsomest Gelding

  • CLASS 18 Ridden Best Combination

  • CLASS 19 Lead Rein (Rider 12 years and under)

  • CLASS 20 First Ridden Ponies (Rider 16 years and under, open to any height horse/pony, must be true to type - first ridden)

Fun Championship for competitors places 1st & 2nd in Classes 15 to 20.


More Information

  • Entries close 2 days before competition

  • Entries on the day if spaces available

  • No horses to be left tied up and unattended

  • Please clear all hay and droppings from Plumpton College car park before leaving

  • Dogs to be kept on leads at all times

Rules & Conditions of Entry

The organiser of the show is the committee of West End Riding Club.

The organiser accepts no responsibility for any accident however caused to competitors, spectators, animals, vehicles and/or property.

It is a condition of entry that competitors agree to indemnify the Organisers and officials against any legal proceeding arising from an accident.

It is a condition of entry that competitors are either a member of a BHS affiliated Riding Club, The Pony Club or other equestrian organisation providing them with public liability insurance, or that their horse has public liability insurance cover.

The organisers reserve the right to cancel any class or event, divide any class, alter any advertised times and refuse entry with or without stated reason.

The judges decision is final.

Correct riding attire must be worn. Hard hats must comply with VG1 or PAS015 and must be worn correctly fastened at all times when mounted.

Horses must be 4 years and over.

Objections must be made in writing to the secretary within 30 minutes of the finish of the disputed class together with a £10 deposit, which will be refunded if the objection is upheld.

Entry fees are non refundable after close of entries unless a medical or veterinary certificate is supplied. In case of cancellation due to adverse weather conditions the organisers reserve the right to retain up to 25% of prepaid entries.

No entries will be accepted without the appropriate fee. No telephone entries.

Late entries will only be taken if space permits.

The organisers reserve the right to expel any competitor or their associates from the show if found to be conducting themselves in a dangerous or offensive manner.
